I've been modding for over 1.5 years now and the only reason I haven't uploaded a mod is due to the crash issue. The game launches fine, it shows all the words in english, it plays fine and with my modifications, but at the end before it saves, or sometimes if the match goes on for too long, or if certain units are created, it crashes.
For example, whenever I tried and make a Europe at war mod, it crashes on the same thing, and sometimes on the newer axis buildings it crashes too. This happens to me with every mod I make that doesn't launch from an existing mod, even if it's an exact replica of another mod with just a few changes. It doesn't crash when the game starts, it crashes before I can exist back to the main menu after I've won a game or played it for a long time. So for example when I mod the modern combat mod using corsix, it actually launches properly and doesn't crash when the game is over, but I'm launching it from steam.
This has happened to me on every mod I make, but doesn't seem to exist on mods that I've modded, that launch via the steam launch mechanism. Specifically, whenever you go to exit a game it crashes, or sometimes whenever you kill an allied riflemen squad or try and create panzer elite buildings, it crashes.
